Love Love Love Louboutin!

I could not contain my excitement when I saw Victoria Beckham's latest shots for Turkish Vogue...just look at those Louboutins! These have got to be by far my favourite by the legendary footwear designer whose creations are more stunning with each collection. I fell in love with them all over again as Kylie Minogue performed in a pair on last weekend's X Factor. Although she did have a slight stumble which suggests they are better for sitting or standing in rather than dancing!

Yesterday Christian Louboutin announced that he was to expand his empire by opening 12 new stores around the world in 2011. Stores are expected to launch in China, Brazil, Japan, the Middle East, Italy and the USA.

H&M and Lanvin unveil collaboration (but forget the High Street prices!)

After months of sneak peaks H&M and French fashion house Lanvin have unveiled their eagerly awaited collection and the first pictures suggest it's sure to fly off the rails when it's launched this month.

Don't expect H&M's usual bargain prices though, as garments from the 48-piece collection will come with a hefty price tag of up to £200. However, this is unlikely to stop fashionistas as they fight their way through the queues to get their hands on their favourite items.

The range is the Paris-based fashion house's first range for a High Street retailer, and although head designer Alber Elbaz had been reluctant to collaborate in the past now explains that this collection is about 'trying to translate the dream of luxury to the masses'.

Pieces include colourful dresses starting at £99.99, an animal print coat, fabulous footwear as well as men's classic tuxedos and trackies will be available in 200 H&M stores worldwide from November 23rd.

New York Fashion Week...BCBG Max Azria

In keeping with his usual silhouette, BCBG Max Azria showed a variety of light, flowing pieces at New York Fashion Week on Friday suggesting that the style for next season is expected to be understated. The Spring / Summer ’11 collection featured simple, yet cleverly created sheer draped dresses in shades of white (which the designer describes as one of his ‘best colours’), grey, mustard and rose in easy to wear fabrics of silks and crepes.

Speaking of his focus for mini-dresses in this collection and his trend prediction for the forthcoming S /S ’11 season, Azria explains that ‘short dresses are more sexy and will be something stronger than anything.’

New York Fashion Week...Christian Siriano

Christian Siriano kicked off the first day of New York Fashion Week at the Lincoln Center with a show of vibrant animal prints, metallics and beautiful dressed draped with chiffon. The ‘Project Runway’ alumni described his Spring / Summer ’11 collection as ‘African, Chinese and Mediterranean cultures mixed together...with lots of prints and colour.’

Siriano’s 40-piece collection began with white and soon burst into colour featuring snakeskin and crocodile prints followed by metallic textures. Then came Siriano’s stunning signature gowns, described as ‘fantasy and drama’ by the designer after the show. The breathtaking dresses were a combination of flowing silk and elegant tulle creations in cream and thrilling shades of crimson.

Another highlight of the show was the footwear each model strutted down the runway in, designed by Siriano for his line for Payless. There was a fusion of boots and spectacular chopstick-heeled stilettos which resembled cages or tribal apparatus.
